Doors open in one’s wake and so I caught a shut eye and I was sold dreams
Well, somebody lied, the truth leads nocturnal lives
The light just borrowed breathes and was seen in the dark
The blind toppled the one eyed man, tunnel vision will get you that
So we hide in open sight, yet darkness illuminates in us
We, a collective divided by the difference of our shines
rather our dooms
We’re surely walking around doomed - dark clouds over our heads
Love slipping between our fingers, blessings under our feet
And understanding misunderstood by those that stand beside us
You should see what lies within us
you should see what hides beneath us
Kindness blinds the path of consciousness in the wake of pity.
When you’ve gone over the heights of belonging,
you get tired of accommodating feelings.
You vacate the little space left in the basement of your own heart.
You find your own place in a care-free society bonded by single-hood.
Lives existing on the edge of doom, the tragedy that is just existence
Retaliation the only reaction to emotions instigated by pain, you seek reassurance
in the flow of tears.
You flow flawlessly in pain, smiles synchronized in suffering
Become one with heartbreak and anguish
Aura like nocturnal beings
Eyes still shining like the stars, skin still glowing like the moon
